  There are so many time-tracking software programs that offer the highest level of features, which can transform your computer to an intensive time-tracking machine - great if you're sitting at your desk in your office, but not so useful when you're on the go. The Timekeeper program includes remote solutions so you can take your data with you on a Palm or Windows CE device. With Timekeeper, you can track time no matter where you are!

How Timekeeper Remote Works
ACME Office Repair Services has several servicemen that stop in the office and receive repair assignments. These repairs can include anything from computer repairs, servicing copy machines, fixing printers, and troubleshooting fax machines. Some repairs are more time-consuming than others and some clients are further away from the office than others. These hours spent on repairs and travel must be tracked.

With Timekeeper, ACME Office Repair Services creates a database of all customers, which includes the customer's billing address, memos of last customer repairs, and billing rates for different customers. ACME Office Repair Services also creates several activities and expense categories that are either billable or non-billable. Activities can include fixing the different office machines, and expenses can include any additional charges.

The Timekeeper program enables the servicemen to connect their PDA devices to the computer running Timekeeper to synchronize the data from the computer to their handheld devices. The servicemen can then use the PDA devices to enter their times spent driving to client sites, time spent on repairs, and enter any expenses for gas. Employees simply select the different activities and expenses from configurable list fields, and enter the time spent on an activity or the cost of the expense. When the servicemen return to the office, they connect their PDA devices to the workstation running Timekeeper and the program records the time and expenses entered in the PDA. As a result, ACME Office Repair Services is able to create accurate billing statements for customers.
